About Baby Cafe San Leandro
Located at 13708 Doolittle Dr, San Leandro, CA 94577, Baby Cafe San Leandro operates as a chinese bbq serving San Leandro in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 9 amβ10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (510) 969-8002. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 114 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
San Leandro is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Leandro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My husband and I eat little compared to most people so we shared our meal. Regret that we cant eat much coz every dish tasted delicious and wish we could order more. We ordered unfamiliar dishes - Bittermelon with egg soup, Fried Fish (like fat sardines?) and to our surprise, all including our the drink Greentea lychee were Unforgettably Good! I had to ask the server what kind of food they serve- Menu sounds, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Mixed Asian - Aparently, it's Hongkong Chinese. That, I have to remember. We didn't know what to expect coz the name of the resto "Baby Cafe" was not very revealing. We were just passing by looking for an interesting place to eat. They are the last one on the corner, quite hidden Going inside - we were impressed by the spacious seating arrangement and the trees / plants interior - feels like outdoor indoor.. perfect for intimate dining with small group of friends or family. Our rating: Will definitely come back and Recommend to others.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with this restaurant. I ordered Wasabi Mushroom Chicken Spaghetti, but what I received was a completely different dish β a baked seafood rice with shrimp and eel. This is not a small mistake; it is an entirely different order. More seriously, I have a seafood allergy. Receiving a seafood dish instead of what I ordered is a serious health risk, not just an inconvenience. I contacted Uber Eats support immediately and provided clear photos of both the receipt and the food. Despite the obvious mismatch, I was denied a refund and only given a $2 credit, which is unacceptable. The restaurant failed to prepare the correct order, and the platform failed to take responsibility for a clear mistake involving food safety. I strongly advise others, especially those with food allergies, to be cautious when ordering from here.

Iβm pretty sure the menu has changed from the first time I came here with some womenβs networking group, and Iβm so glad we checked it out again because Iβm a fan! The atmosphere is really nice. Itβs decorated super cute inside, but also itβs spacious enough even though it was quite packed with customers. Great sign. My friend and I went for lunch mid week and I had chow fun and she had tom yum soup noodles. Both had generous portions and was tasty! Definitely enough to take home. I think it might be better for a group so you can eat family style and try a lot of dishes. The warm tea they serve is really delicious and the hot sauce has the perfect kick!

We visited on a Saturday for lunch, and the restaurant was quite packed. The wait time was about 15 minutes, which wasn't too bad. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. We ordered the chopped green beans, milk tea, baked pork chop rice, and the signature beef brisket in rice cube. All the dishes were delicious. We will definitely come back again.

Delicious Taste of Hong Kong in San Leandro - Highly Recommended! Baby Cafe in San Leandro is a fantastic addition to the local food scene, offering a delightful experience with its authentic Hong Kong-style fast food. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are efficient and always ready with a smile, making you feel right at home. The food itself is the star of the show. On my recent visit, I tried their εΉ²ηηζ²³ (Dry Beef Chow Fun) and the ζ΅·ει (Hai Nan Chicken), and both were exceptional. The εΉ²ηηζ²³ was packed with flavor and had that wonderful "wok hey" β the slightly charred aroma and taste that comes from stir-frying at high heat β which is a hallmark of great Cantonese cooking. The portion of beef was generous and tender. The ζ΅·ει was also a standout. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful, and it came with a fragrant rice that complemented it perfectly. It's clear that Baby Cafe pays attention to the quality and preparation of their dishes. Beyond the excellent food, the service is also noteworthy. Even when I forgot to request utensils with my order, the kind lady at the cashier happily provided them and gently rem
